Netizens set Twitter abuzz as WhatsApp now lets you mute a chat FOREVER!

If you have been receiving frequent messages on a group or personal chat, Or if you are a part of a pesky group of relatives that you couldn’t leave, New WhatsApp features will help you to avoid them.

Facebook-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature that allows users to mute groups or a personal chat forever.

Previously, WhatsApp used to offer three options under the ‘Mute’ tab – 8 hours,1 Week, and 1 Year. But the platform has now added a new option called the Mute Always. This new feature is available on WhatsApp Android and IOS apps and the web versions as well.

As soon as WhatsApp introduced a new feature of allowing users to mute their group or chats forever netizens set Twitter abuzz being grateful to WhatsApp as they now can be able to mute avoidable contacts.

WhatsApp has been testing the Always mute option for a long time, and now it has finally released it for the users. It is worth noting that once you mute a chat, you will receive messages sent to the group but your phone will not vibrate or make noise when they are received.

Another feature that’s more requested by Whatsapp users is ‘Vacation Mode’.This feature is reportedly scrapped but it recently appeared again and is expected to roll out son.

Vacation mode on Whatsapp keeps archived chats permanently hidden. At present, archived chats show up on top whenever a new message is sent. But with Vacation mode, archived chats will remain hidden and not pop up on top.
