Meet the Celebrities who stand with the farmer’s Protest!

With almost 3,00,000 farmers and counting protesting, every day are now receiving support from various Punjabi artists. From Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, Himanshi Khurana to Guru Randhawa and Honey Singh, everyone is assisting the farmers and asking the government to listen to them once.

Firstly, let’s understand this matter deeply and know why farmers are protesting. In simple terms, a recent bill called ‘Farms Bill’ was introduced and passed by both the houses states that the middlemen will be eradicated and the corporates or industries can directly deal with the farmers. The problem with this bill is that it does not guarantee an MSP (Minimum Support Price) which might cause huge losses to the farmers of Punjab and Haryana.

“We are farmers, Not Terrorists” tweeted Diljit. While Actor-Singer, Ammy Virk requested everybody who loves him and loves humanity to do support the farmers. The farmers are marching to the capital after receiving no support from their state government and now wish their issues to be addressed.

Also, the celebs are requesting not to use violence, water cannons, and tear gas on the producers as they are protesting peacefully and that they should be at least heard once.

Apart from several Punjabi artists, various Bollywood personalities also joined the fray including Taapsee Pannu, Kapil Sharma, Swara Bhaskar, Simmy Grewal, Sonu Sood, and many more. We believe that for once the center should monitor the farmer’s request and peacefully settle the perplexity as the reason we consume today is a farmer and should earn what they truly deserve.
