MCD extends LPG connections to benefit households of its staff

The municipal corporation of Delhi on Friday distributed free LPG gas connections and stoves to families of its permanent and temporary employees under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana officials said. Minister Raj Bhushan Chaudhary and Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva handed over gas stoves and LPG cylinders 251 beneficiaries at a function held at the civic centre.

Chaudhary said the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was a key initiative aimed at improving women’s health and empowering them. He said the scheme reflected the PM’s commitment to the welfare of farmers labourers and economically weaker sections.
