Lok Sabha Election Phase 3: Live Update
The biggest and the largest battle of lok sabha 2019 polls has begun. Phase three of lok sabha polls is the largest poll among all seven phases as in this phase polling will take place on 116 seats across 14 states and Union territory. This is the biggest election carnival because all constituencies in Gujarat and Kerala, with BJP president Amit Shah, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and several Union Ministers among prominent candidates are in the battleground to prove their supremacy.
Besides all seats in Gujrat(26) and Kerala(20), Number of polling seats in different states and union territory are as follows –
Maharashtra – 14 seats
Karnataka – 14 seats
Chhattisgarh – 7 seats
Odisha – 6 seats
Assam – 4 seats
Bihar – 5 seats
Uttar Pradesh – 10 seats
West Bengal – 5 seats
Goa – 2 seats
Tripura – 1 seat
Dadra and Nagar Haveli – 1 seat
Daman and Diu – 1 seat
About 18.56 crore voters are eligible for voting in this phase and the Election Commission has set up 2.10 lakh polling booths/stations and has made elaborate security arrangements.
