Jammu & Kashmir: Two terrorist killed in an encounter with security forces

Two terrorist had been killed in an early encounter with security forces on Thursday morning in Bagender Mohalla of Bijbehara in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district . A case has been registered and probe is underway for the other militants hiding in the area.

The killed terrorist have been identified as Dr. Burhan-ud-Din-Ganai and Safdar Amin. Security forces has recovered explosive such as arms and ammunition from the encounter site. The Indian Army has recently claimed that, post the Pulwama terror attack, it has eliminated 41 terrorists, with the overall figure this year standing at 69.

In Anantnag, lok sabha polls are being conducted in three phase out of which two phases are still to be concluded. The first segment of a three-phased polls in Anantnag concluded on April 23 and the next two segments will be held on April 29 and May 6. The four district to be covered in Anantnag are Anantnag, Kulgram, Pulwama and Shopian.
