IT Department finds discrepancy and manipulation in income after raids on Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap’s residence.

The Income tax department, after searching the properties related to Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu has detected discrepancies and manipulations of income.

In a recent statement on Thursday, the officials of the IT department stated that the production house shareholders are suspected of income tax evasion which sums up to around Rs 650 crores.

As per the latest reports the discrepancies included bogus expenditure and fake bills. Furthermore it was claimed that Taapsee had accepted an amount of Rs 5 crores in cash as the Actress’s detailed statement was recorded on 3rd March.

It officials suspect that some data has been deleted from her phone. They are taking help from experts to retrieve the data. Taapsee can again be summoned by IT officials in the coming days.

The probe agency also claims to have found bogus expenditure of the director having tax implication of about Rs 20 crore from the residential premises of Anurag Kashyap.

As per the reports the mobile data of Anurag Kashyap was also wiped off and the department is suspecting that the data was deleted after Narcotics Control Bureau crackdown took place post-Sushant Singh Rajput demise.

The officials have allegedly found evidence related to manipulation and undervaluation of share transactions of the production house amongst the film directors and shareholders having tax implications of about Rs 350 crores.

On Thursday, the IT officials had initiated search and survey operations on Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment, Taapsee Pannu, Kwan Talent Management, and Exceed Entertainment for Alleged tax evasion.

Searches are being carried out, at official and residential premises of suspects in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Hyderabad. Till now a total of 28 premises have been covered in different locations which include residences and offices.

For the unversed The income tax department raided the residence of Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, and several shareholders of Phantom films on Wednesday.

The IT department will continue the search, and now the suspects can be questioned today including Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap.
