International flights in India will remain suspended till November 30: DGCA

According to the statement of Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), international passenger flights will remain suspended till November 30 due to Coronavirus outbreak. However, the international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority.

The scheduled international flights were suspended in India since March 23. But the special international flights have been operating under the Vande Bharat Mission since May 25 and under the bilateral “air bubble” arrangements with selected countries since July.

India has formed air bubble pacts with the countries including US, UAE, UK, Kenya, Bhutan, and France. Under the air bubble pact between two countries, special international flights can be operated by their airlines between their territories.

DGCA also mentioned in its circular that this suspension does not affect the operation of international- all cargo operations and flights specifically approved by it.
