India’s Tour to Australia 2020 received approval from Australian Government on Thursday. Team India will travel to Australia to play tournaments after they go through Indian Premiere League which is happening in UAE. After IPL, the Virat Kohli led team India will depart from Dubai and complete their mandatory quarantine period in Sydney.

The New South Wales Government has given the green light to the quarantine measures on Thursday.

Spouses or girlfriends of the players will not be allowed to travel with them.

Team India and Team Australia are scheduled to play four tests, three- One Day Internationals and as many as Twenty20 Internationals in Australia. The three- match ODI series is likely to begin November 27 onwards in Canberra for the first match and in Sydney for other two matches.

The first Test is starting from December 17, 2020. It will be a one- night game which will happen in Adelaide. The match will take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, hosting The Boxing Day Test, with Adelaide as the backup venue.

The last two test matches will happen in Sydney and Brisbane.

Last year, Team India took a full- fledged tour to Australia and got their first ever test series victory against Aussies. India won the four- match Test series by 2-1 and also won three- match ODI series in 2019.
