India will host the first-ever Boxing World Cup in Greater Noida between 13 November to 24 November 2025 at the Vijay Pathik Sports Complex.
According to the Boxing Federation of India (BFI), this mega event will witness the participation of nearly 450 boxers from more than 80 countries. Along with the athletes, around 150 staff members and officials will also be part of the tournament, making it one of the biggest international boxing events in India. The World Boxing Congress will also be held on 23 November, where heads of various international sports associations will come together to discuss the future of boxing.
BFI Secretary-General Pramod Kumar said that bringing the World Cup to India was a major achievement for the federation. He added that this event will give Indian boxers global exposure and help prepare them for the Olympic level. BFI President Ajay Singh also expressed confidence in India’s ability to successfully host the prestigious tournament. India has hosted major boxing events earlier, including the Women’s World Boxing Championships in 2018 and 2023, but this will be the first time the World Cup is being held in the country.
The event is expected to mark a historic milestone for Indian boxing, firmly placing India on the global boxing map.
