India once again proved their dominance over Pakistan after winning by 6 wickets in the Asia Cup Super Four clash played at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. It was a high-intensity game where both teams fought hard but India’s strong batting performance sealed the victory.

In the end Faheem Ashraf and Salman Ali Agha’s quick runs helped Pakistan post a fighting total. For India Shivam Dube took important wickets in the middle overs but India’s fielding remained poor as they dropped four catches.

Chasing 172 India’s openers gave a dream start. Abhishek Sharma smashed 74 runs in just 39 balls with power hitting all around the ground. His partner Shubman Gill scored 47 off 28 balls and the duo added a 102-run stand for the first wicket. The partnership put India in complete control. Even after losing quick wickets in the middle Tilak Varma stayed unbeaten on 30 runs and guided India to victory at 174/4 in 18.5 overs.

The match also saw drama off the ball. Just like the last meeting players from both sides once again avoided handshakes. There were also heated words exchanged between Abhishek Sharma and Pakistan fast bowlers during the chase showing how tense the rivalry remains. With this result India continue their unbeaten run in the tournament and move closer to the Asia Cup final. Pakistan on the other hand are under pressure and must win their remaining matches to keep their hopes alive.
