India Announces 18-Member Squad for Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025

Hockey India announced the 18-member squad for the Men’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025. This tournament will be organized in Rajgir, Bihar from 29 August to 7 September 2025.
The Asia Cup is very important because it also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup. India has been placed in Pool A along with Japan, China, and Kazakhstan. India will play its first match against China on 29 August, then Japan on 31 August, and Kazakhstan on 1 September.
Harmanpreet Singh will continue to lead the team as captain. The squad has a good mix of experienced players and young talent in defense, midfield, and attack.
Coach Craig Fulton said the team is ready and confident. He added that the Asia Cup is very important for India and the players will give their best to perform under pressure.
India aims to win the Asia Cup and qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Fans are excited to see the team in action, especially in their first match against China in Rajgir.
