Indecent video call with student, female teacher arrested

Police has arrested a female teacher in Navi Mumbai. The teacher is accused of making a video call with a 10th class student and during this she had sex with him whose recording was saved in the student’s phone. Police has arrested the teacher under POCSO in this case and started investigation. This incident came to light when the student’s mother saw his phone and saw the video saved in the phone. When she asked her son about it, the son told her the whole story after which the woman lodged a complaint about the whole matter with the police.
According to the reports police has told that for the last 2 years the teacher who studied in the school was having video chat with the student. The student once recorded that video call. During this chat the lady teacher allegedly removed her clothes and was half naked. Regarding the matter police officer told that last week the mother of the student saw the video in her son’s phone and when she asked the son then he told about the incident. After this the woman came to us on 28th July with the video recording. Since the boy is a minor, on the basis of the video an FIR was lodged against the teacher on 28th July under Protection of Children from Crimes (POCSO) and the woman teacher was arrested the next day. The police produced the teacher in court from where she was sent to police custody for one day. The police informed that they have sent the teacher’s mobile phone for forensic test so that it can be ascertained whether there is any other such video in it or not. Currently the police is investigating the matter.
Before this also a female school teacher was arrested in Mumbai on the charges of having incestuous relationship with her own minor student and committing sexual assault. That sexual assault case came to light when the child’s parents noticed a change in the child’s behaviour and asked him to talk openly, only then the whole matter came to light. In this case also the teacher was arrested by the police and later produced in the court from where she was sent to judicial custody.
