IMPROVING CONNECTIVITY TO IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY – NITISH KUMAR’S RURAL CONNECTIVITY PROJECT

Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar launched a project to construct roads and strengthen the rural connectivity. His concern towards creating roads in every hamlet says his deep contribution towards providing employment to every region and making it convenient for everyone to travel through developed roads rather than suffering on long routes , which consumes lot of time and decreases the strength to work properly.
He launched this project on Thursday , the project’s worth is 21,406.36 crore and this initiative includes the construction of 11,346 roads and 730 bridges under the schemes like Mukhyamantri Gramin Sadak Unnayan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Gramin Setu Yojana. This project is under Rural Works Department (RWD) , a major step increasing the rural connectivity across the state. It aims to ensure pucca roads across each hamlet , improving the transportation in Village areas.
Under the initiative , work has begun on 409 bridges , the total approved cost is Rs 1859 crores and other five additional schemes under the state plan have been adopted with total cost of 48 crores.
The additional chief secretary of RWD Dipak Kumar Singh gave a detailed presentation of the roads and bridges , whose foundation was laid, to the CM. CM was informed of the current status of the ongoing construction work of roads and bridges and the progress under the various schemes of departments, by Singh.
CM motivated and praised RWD and said that it is doing commendable job . He appreciated the efforts of the department and laid emphasis on the stipulated time frame to complete the project. He addressed the gathering by assuring them to provide ease to them with the best roads and bridges. He emphasized various schemes ,like Mukhyamantri Gramin Sampark Yojana,Mukhyamantri Gramin Sadak Unnayan Yojana , Rural Roads strengthening and Management Programme and Sulabh Samparkta Yojana , adopted by the State government to work on the initiative.
The occasion was attended Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha , Ministers Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Ashok Choudhary , chief secretary Amrit Lal Meena , Development commissioner Pratyaya Amit and other senior officials.
