Hungama 2 will be available on Disney+ Hotstar. On Thursday, the first trailer for Priyadarshan’s comedy sequel, starring Meezaan Jafferi and Pranitha Subhash, was revealed.

The teaser was launched by Akshay Kumar, who previously worked with Paresh Rawal and Priyadarshan in the cult comedy Hera Pheri. Hungama 2 is also Shilpa Shetty’s acting comeback after a decade away from the big screen.

The narrative of the film centers on Meezaan’s character attempting to establish that he is not the father of his college sweetheart’s child. Paresh Rawal, who played Radheshyam Tiwari in the first film with Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, and Rimi Sen, reprises his role.

The teaser also includes a remixed version of the classic 1990s song Chura Ke Dil Mera Goriya Chali, which was first included in the film Main Khiladi Tu Anari and starred Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar. Shilpa is also featured in the updated version.

According to Priyadarshan, he offered the film to Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan, but they declined. “I didn’t go straight to see them, but I told a lot of stars about my concept, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aaryan, and Siddharth Malhotra. They all refused to participate in the film. I’m now collaborating with Meezaan. They all said no, possibly because they thought I was an out-of-date director because I had been out of the Hindi cinema industry for five years,” Priyadarshan said last year to PTI.
