Have a sneak-peek over the Pride Parade amusing incidents held in Delhi.
The 12th Delhi queer pride is going held in the heart of Delhi this Sunday. Pride Parade is an event organized for the Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer people by the Delhi Queer Pride Committee. DQP committee organizes this event independently without any sponsorship from brands, corporates or groups. DQP also organizes a fundraiser party, a picnic and the main march.
Pride is a walk that usually starts at the intersection of Barakhamba Road and Tolstoy Marg, CP and ends at Jantar Mantar. During this walk all the people, both members and the allies of the committee walk down the streets of Delhi holding Banners, Posters, shouting slogans and spreading awareness about the LGBTQ community and their rights.
The vibe of the event was delightful, awesome, and amazing and it’s a must-go event. People are dressed in bright colors, holding hands, wearing badges and interacting with each other as they walk. Pride also supports Dalit rights, transgender rights, and feminism. After reaching Jantar Mantar there was an amazing program that’s organized by the queer people for the queer people.
There are a variety of stage performances like- solo dance performances, gig, poetry and much more. In this event, you’ll get to meet a whole new variety of people, explore different types of sexualities while connecting with them.
