Siddharth Roy Kapur , India’s one of the  foremost film producers and media executives , was born on August 2 , 1974. He was born in a culturally rich family. He graduated from Sydenham college and completed his masters from JBIMS in Mumbai. He is the son of former Miss India and renowned dance choreographer , Salome Roy Kapur.

He started at Procter and Gamble in brand management and then joined Star TV’s strategic planning. He played a key role in launching Kaun Banega crorepati. He joined UTV motion pictures in 2005 as senior VP of Marketing and Communications. He led multiple critically acclaimed films such as Rang De Basanti , Khosla ka Ghosla , Taare Zameen par, Barfi , Udaan , Peepli Live and Chennai Express.

He was appointed Managing director of Disney India in 2014 during which Disney produced Dangal , The Jungle Book, PK , Haider , and musicals like Beauty and the Beast in India. He founded Roy Kapur films in 2017 .

Siddharth Roy Kapur has consistently navigated the intersection of commerce and creativity, from shaping iconic bollywood hits and nurturing indie gems to building a production house with global reach. With projects like The Anarchy and a slate of storytelling first ventures , he continues pushing the envelope for Indian content that transcends borders.
