Sonu Sood , born on July 30,1973 , in Moga , Punjab , is an actor , producer and a humanitarian. He began his career playing a villain in films like Dabangg and Simmba. He gained real recognition after his selfless service in Covid 19. He moved to Mumbai after earning an engineering degree from Nagpur. He worked in multiple film industries , Hindi , Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. He became a real hero from a reel villain through his actions off- screen.

During the 2020 lockdown, he helped thousands of stranded migrants reach home by arranging buses , trains and even flights. He even created the ‘Pravasi Rojgar’ app to create employment opportunities for migrants. He supported students, funded medical treatments and helped families in distress.
His efforts earned him national and international recognition and also UNDP’s SDG Special Humanitarian Award. He is now not only seen as a film actor but also as a real life savior.
Sonu Sood ‘s journey , from a struggling hero to a celebrated screen presence and then to a National Hero is a powerful example of how compassion and courage can transform lives . His actions redefined celebrity responsibility in India. He justified the term influencer.
