Haider Ali Arrested from Cricket Ground in Rape Case

Pakistani cricketer Haider Ali was arrested in England during the tour with Pakistan Shaheens team. He was playing an ODI match at Beckenham ground when police came and arrested him.
He has been accused of rape. According to reports, the incident happened on 23rd July 2025 in Manchester, with a girl of Pakistani origin. Police arrested him on 3rd August.
Haider Ali is 24 years old and has played 2 ODIs and 35 T20Is for Pakistan. After arrest, he got bail, but his passport is taken, so he can’t leave UK right now.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gave a statement that they know about the case and are giving legal help to Haider. But until the investigation ends, PCB has suspended him temporarily.
Police also confirmed the case. They said
We arrested a 24-year-old man. The case is related to an incident on 23 July in Manchester. He is now on bail, and investigation is going on.
About the tour
Pakistan Shaheens team was in England from 17 July to 6 August. They played two 3-day matches (both draw) and won ODI series 2-1. Now all players have returned to Pakistan except Haider Ali and captain Saud Shakeel. Saud is in Dubai due to personal reasons.
