Google gives job of Rs 1.2 crores to Mumbai’s boy named Abdullah khan

21-year-old Abdullah Khan failed to pass the entrance examination of IIT but he got a job offer which is also difficult for IITians as well. Earlier this week, he got the job of a package of 1.2 million rupees in Google’s London office. Such students who have not been studying engineering from IIT get average 4 lakh jobs annually.

Khan is a student of LR Tiwari Engineering College situated on Mira Road. After seeing their profile on one site, Google invited him for an interview. After some online interview, Khan was called for final screening at Google’s London office earlier this month.

His package includes a base salary of Rs 54.5 lakh annually, a bonus of 15 percent and a stock option of Rs 58.9 lakh for four years. Khan is a final year student of computer science. He will join Google’s site reliability engineering team in September.

Google’s official told in an email in November last year that he had seen Khan’s profile on a programming site and said he was looking for people to work in Europe. Khan told that when he was participating in the competition of that site, he did not even have such an offer.

He said, ‘I used to take part in competitions for happiness. I did not have an idea that the company does check the profiles of the programmers. I sent this email to my friend who knew a person who had similar mail in the past. I am optimistic about being part of his team. For me this will be wonderful and learning experience. ‘ Khan has pursued his academics from Saudi Arabia and he came to Mumbai after the 12th examination.
