Preparations Complete for 77th Independence Day Celebration: PM Modi to Lead from Red Fort
The 77th Independence Day celebration preparations are done. On August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the event from the historic Red Fort, like every year. About 1,800 special guests from various fields across the country are invited to witness the ceremony.
PM Modi will hoist the national flag and give a traditional speech from the Red Fort. This year, the ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’ will conclude, an event started by PM Modi on March 12, 2021, at the Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat.
Exciting Initiatives for Independence Day
To achieve PM Modi’s vision of making India developed by 2047, new initiatives will be introduced during the 77th Independence Day celebration. Many new things are planned this year, with more guests invited compared to last year.
Diverse Guests Invited
Around 1,800 people from different professions across the country are invited as special guests to the Red Fort event. This follows the government’s approach of ‘public participation’.
Among these guests are more than 400 village leaders, 250 people from the Farmer Producer Organization Scheme, participants from various government initiatives, and those associated with projects like Central Vista and construction work.
Selfie Points and Welcoming PM Modi
At 12 locations, selfie points showcasing NHAI schemes have been set up, including places like India Gate and Raj Ghat.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will welcome PM Modi at the Red Fort. A Guard of Honor from different branches of the armed forces and Delhi Police will be present.”
