Bulandshahr: Crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh has become a new normal. A similar case has come up in Bulandshahr. An unmarried woman constable of the Anti-Romeo cell in Bulandshahr has accused the SHO of Gulavathi Kotwali of physical and mental abuse. Not only this, the woman soldier has also accused the SHO of threatening to kill her on complaining.
According to the information, the victim women constable is currently posted at the Mahila police station in Bulandshahr. As of July 2020, the woman constable was posted at Gulavathi Kotwali. It is alleged that the UP Police Inspector Sachin Malik, who was posted in Gulavathi, often used to molest her. It is alleged that the inspector used to pressurise her for friendship with his friends who came to the police station.
“Received her complaint & sent it to Vishaka Committee. Committee will submit report in a week. Appropriate action will be taken.” SSP of Bulandshahr told ANI.
According to the complaint, when the female accused opposed it, the accused inspector threatened her by triggering on the female accused’s character. The woman constable also alleges that the police station in-charge Sachin Malik threatened to kill her if she complained. Reportedly, the woman constable has complained about the matter to the SSP and DM, but no action has been taken so far.
The victim said that she has now complained to the IG, DIG about the incident. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also complained on the portal, requesting justice and action.
