Even after a decade of ruling Delhi, Kejriwal fails to control air pollution
When AAP came to power in the national capital, Kejriwal made several promises regarding controlling air pollution in Delhi. Journalist turned BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari told ANI, “Pollution in Yamuna river is increasing at an alarming rate, since last 10 years Kejriwal is making empty promises of taking a dip in Yamuna but due to increasing water pollution, he’s not able to do it.”
He further adds, “AAP chief has installed more than 40 air purifiers at his residence and hotels, but what about the people living in slums? What about the people who cannot afford purifiers? Arvind Kejriwal will not understand this because he has become the party of one special person; his job is to make money by doing liquor scams; his job is not to serve the public.”
In November 2014, maximum air quality index of Delhi was around 180 and in november 2024 the air quality index of Delhi is around 296. The increase in 116 points in pollution in past 10 years show the failure of Delhi governement in controlling the air pollution.
