Delhi In Way of Becoming Next Covid Hub, Rise in Positive Cases Increased Terror
April 15,2022 (New Delhi): The Terror of fourth wave is already creating fear among people while corona cases are increasing rapidly in metropolitical cities. Today, the highest number of cases were reported after March 3. However, there has been some reduction in the infection rate. It is a matter of relief that no patient died due to corona.
According to the Health Department of Delhi, 325 new cases of corona were reported on Thursday. Earlier on March 3, 326 cases were reported. On Thursday, 224 patients were discharged. In Delhi, 13576 tests were conducted on Wednesday for the investigation of corona, in which 2.39 percent people were found infected. So far 1867206 people have been infected in Delhi. Out of these, 1840133 patients have been cured, while 26158 patients died due to corona. The death rate from corona in Delhi is 1.4 percent.
In February, decision was taken to lift all restrictions in the wake of the significant improvement in the COVID-19 situation in the city. Earlier this month, the disaster body withdrew the order on wearing masks in public. It also dropped the fine on not wearing masks.
However, on Tuesday Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the government was keeping a close watch on the Covid situation in the capital and there was no major reason to panic at present. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain had said there was no reason to worry until a new variant of concern was detected. “We are keeping an eye on hospital admissions and they are going down. Focus shouldn’t be on positivity rate much as of now,” Jain had said
