COVID-19 Alert India: In last 24 hours 7,000+ new cases reported, 44 dead, total active cases 50,000+
A slight decline is being seen in the cases of corona in the country. In the last 24 hours, 7,533 new cases of corona have been reported. Compared to Thursday, a 19 percent decline has been recorded in new cases. With this, the number of active patients in the country has crossed 53 thousand. At present, 53,852 corona-infected patients are being treated in the country.
Recovery rate above 98 percent:
As per the data shared on the website of the ministry, the national Covid recovery rate has been recorded at 98.69 percent. The number of people who have recovered from the infection has increased to 4,43,47,024, while the death rate remains at 1.18 percent. A total of 220.66 crore doses of covid vaccine have been given so far in the country under the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
Booster dose got even better:
After Britain, now India has also prepared an updated version of the Corona vaccine. It is composed entirely of Omicron and its subforms, a single dose of which can produce sufficient antibodies. This will be for those taking both doses of Covishield or Covaxin. A precautionary dose of this updated vaccine can be taken four months after the completion of the two-dose vaccination.
Shortly before, the American company Moderna launched the first Omicron-based vaccine with mRNA technology in the UK. A senior official of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) said that a few weeks ago, Genova Biopharmaceuticals Company prepared an updated vaccine for Omicron and its subtype BA.1 through mRNA technology.
