Cold Wave, Toxic Air And Dense Fog Disrupt Delhi As Flights Face Delays At IGI Airport

As cold wave conditions continued in the national capital dense fog covered large parts of Delhi on Saturday morning leading to poor visibility and delays in several flights at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Passengers have been advised to check their flight status with airlines before heading to the airport as foggy conditions may intermittently impact operations. The India Meteorological Department reported a marginal improvement in minimum temperatures with the mercury settling at 7 degree Celsius on Saturday morning compared to 4 degree Celsius recorded on Friday. Despite the slight rise visibility remained low during the early hours affecting road rail and air traffic movement across the city.
