Central Delhi and Noida becomes the Top most rain- deficient areas in Northwest India: Weather Department

Delhi-NCR: Central Delhi has recently recorded 62 percent less rainfall in the area as of now. Thus, it is the second- most rain- deficient area in Northwest India after Gautam Buddh Nagar which has 85 percent less rainfall, says Indian Meteorological Department.

The district has gauged only 222.9 mm rainfall against the normal gauge i.e. 582.3 mm since June 1 when the monsoon season begins whereas Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida and Greater Noida) has gauged only 66.3 mm rainfall against the normal of 452 mm.

While, Northeast Delhi has gauged only 401.5 mm rain against the normal of 582.3 mm, Northwest Delhi has recorded the gauge of only 276.5 mm against 399.7 mm of normal rainfall.

Some other districts in Northwest India which has recorded till 50 percent of rain deficiency. These districts include Panchkula (61 percent), Ghaziabad (59 percent), Kausambi (57 percent), Bulandshahr (56 percent), Rampur (55 percent), Hoshiarpur (53 percent), Rohtak (52 percent) and Kanpur (50 percent).

These are the reports updated by the Whether Department of India in Delhi- NCR today. According to The IMD advisory, the rains are likely to cause the traffic jam in the city.
