Be ready to burn your pockets with newly released Delhi-Mumbai airfare
The Ministry for Civil Aviation released a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs), one of which deals with limits on air fares. While addressing to the press, Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Hardeep Singh Puri told that domestic civil aviation operations will resume from May 25th to August 24th with careful assessment, mandatory screening, and proper arrangements of sanitization of a passengers’ baggage before his/her entry into the terminal.
Puri addressed to the press about the issues related to the civil aviation sector and said that the minimum fare for Delhi-Mumbai will be Rs 3500 while the maximum fare will be Rs 10,000.
“For a journey between 90-120 minutes the minimum fare will be Rs. 3,500 and maximum would be Rs. 10,000,” he added.
The fare band is split into different fare buckets. 40 percent of the seats have to be sold at a fare less than the midpoint of the band.
All passengers are required to register on a government coronavirus tracing app(which is not necessary for kids below 14)or submit a declaration saying that they are physically fit and do not have any health issues and have not been quarantined or do not live in a containment area or virus “RED” zone. “Passengers with ‘Red’ status on the Aarogya Setu app would not be permitted to travel,” the ministry said.
