ARJUN TENDULKAR : SON OF A LEGEND

 By Anshika Khera

Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is an emerging cricketer who has steadily carved his own identity in the sport. Born on September 24, 1999, in Mumbai, Arjun is a left-arm fast bowler and a left-handed batsman. Unlike his father, who was known for his batting genius, Arjun chose to focus on bowling, adding variety with his height and pace.

He began his cricketing journey at a young age, representing Mumbai at the junior levels and later playing in age-group tournaments. In 2018, he was selected for India’s Under-19 team, where he impressed with his bowling against Sri Lanka. His consistent performances in domestic cricket, particularly for Goa in the Ranji Trophy, showcased his development as an all-rounder.

Arjun made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut with the Mumbai Indians in 2023, fulfilling a long-awaited moment for fans. He displayed calm temperament under pressure and contributed with both bat and ball in limited opportunities.

While comparisons with his father are inevitable, Arjun has emphasized creating his own path. With dedication, discipline, and growing experience, he continues to evolve as a promising talent, striving to make a mark in Indian cricket on his own merit.
