Archery Premier League to Make Its Debut in Delhi

The Archery Premier League (APL) is all set to mark its first-ever edition from October 2 to 12 2025 at the Yamuna Sports Complex in New Delhi. Organized by the Archery Association of India the tournament will introduce a franchise-based format in the sport making archery more competitive and entertaining for fans.

The league will feature six franchises with a total of 48 archers 36 from India and 12 international names Each team will have eight members equally divided between men and women. To add global flavor every playing squad will include at least one foreign archer. Both recurve and compound categories will be in action with some of the world’s best like Brady Ellison and Mete Gazoz competing alongside India’s top stars Deepika Kumari Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Tarundeep Rai.

The format promises high-intensity contests with matches lasting only 20 minutes and each arrow timed at 15 seconds. Three fixtures will be played daily in the round-robin stage. The total prize money stands at ₹2 crore.

With actor Ram Charan as the face of the league the APL looks to bring archery closer to the masses and provide Indian archers a bigger stage to shine.
