Amid the COVID19 terror when other countries are fighting to find the treatment, PM Modi urges to lit candles.
Today PM Modi addressed the nation at 9 AM. “The country is going through the extremely negative and struggling phase we need to come together and defeat pandemic coronavirus. I urge every Indian to switch off the lights for 9 minutes at 9 PM on 5th April and lit Diya, candle, torch, and flashlight outside their home, balconies or roof,” PM Modi said while address the nation today.
While addressing the nation he didn’t mention the treatment, cure or suffering of common people who are suffering at the different borders of the country.
The number of Coronavirus positive cases have crossed the 2000-mark in India. As per the latest update from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the last 24 hours, 235 new COVID19 positive cases have been recorded across the country. The total number of cases has now reached 2069 in India, including 1860 active cases, 155 cured/discharged/migrated people and 53 deaths, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, a nationwide hunt is underway to identify those who attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamuddin. Authorities across states have already identified 5000 persons and sent them for quarantine. Efforts were on to find 2000, including foreign nationals, in several states including Telangana, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the number of COVID-19 cases may shoot up in Delhi in the coming days as the government has decided to put all the people evacuated from Nizamuddin Markaz under test.
