‘Harry Porter’ Actress Afshan Azad, who essayed the role of Padma Patil in the popular franchise announced her pregnancy to the world.

The 32-year-old actress took to her social media to announce that she is expecting her first child with her husband Nabil Kazi.

Cradling her baby bump the actress revealed that her baby is due in July this year. “The secrets out everyone – I’m going to be a mummy!!! Both our hearts are filled with love, excitement, and nerves! Not long to go, please keep us all in your prayers,” wrote the elated actress.

Soon the congratulatory wishes and messages from fans and her Harry Potter co-stars flooded in the comment section. In a follow-up post, the actress thanked Netizens for their felicitations.

She also took to Twitter to express gratitude after breaking the news on the micro-blogging platform at the same time. Afshan wrote: ‘Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and kind words. Such a relief to tell you all the good news.

‘Pregnancy is such a rollercoaster of emotions but I can now finally enjoy the remaining few weeks with my baby bump. Feeling all the love today. Thank you

For the unversed Afshan and Nabil tied the knot in 2018. Afshan’s wedding was attended by her Harry Potter co-stars Katie Leung and Bonnie Wright.

Afshan’s rise to fame in the Harry Potter films came almost accidentally when she auditioned ‘just for fun’ when casting agents visited her school.

After starting her showbiz career in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Afshan went on to guest present an episode of CBBC Series Marrying Mum & Dad in 2017.
