₹5 Crore Sanctioned to Ease Traffic Bottlenecks on Major Stretches

Public works department has allocated 5 crores to install jersey barriers on several key congestion-prone stretches in west Delhi to curb accidents and regulate traffic movement. The precast reinforced cement concrete barriers are meant to physically separate traffic streams discouraging dangerous practices such as wrong side driving, illegal U-turns and abrupt lane changes violations frequently blames for crashes and congestions.

According to officials the barriers will be installed along a mix of arterial roads and busy internal stretches including Gurudwara road BA BB block road B2 block sabzi mandi road Prem Nagar Gurudwara road Bhai Kanheya ji Marg Dr Kundan Lal Marg and Maya Puri road from Subhash Nagar crossing to Rajouri Apartments.
