Siraj Creates Record, Tharoor Wants Kohli Back in Test Cricket
By Abhishek Kumar

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has become a hero after playing very well in the Test series against England. India and England played five Test matches, and the series ended 2-2. In the final match at The Oval, India won by just six runs. Siraj played a big role in this win.
Siraj took 23 wickets in the series the most by any Indian player. In the last match, he got important wickets and helped India win. Because of his great bowling, he was given the Player of the Match award. Many cricket experts praised him. Former Australia player Brad Haddin said, “Bumrah didn’t win the match Siraj did.”
Former Indian bowler RP Singh said that the BCCI should take care of Siraj’s fitness. He said Siraj should not be given too much work or he might get injured, like some other fast bowlers.
At the same time, Shashi Tharoor, a Member of Parliament, posted on social media asking Virat Kohli to come back to Test cricket. Kohli had retired from Test cricket earlier this year. Tharoor said that India still needs Kohli’s experience and leadership. He wrote, “Virat, the nation needs you!”
But Tharoor also praised the young Indian team for their strong fight and win in the last match. The team was led by Shubman Gill in Kohli’s absence.
India’s Test team is now full of young talent like Siraj and Gill, but fans still want legends like Kohli to be around.
This shows how Indian cricket is moving forward with both young energy and old experience.
