India Won the Asia Cup Trophy But Trophy Drama Goes On

Asia Cup Final 2025 India vs Pakistan India won the title by 5 wickets with 2 balls left. Rinku Singh hit the winning run for India while Tilak Verma became the highest run scorer for the team in the final. It was a memorable win for Team India in front of a packed stadium and millions watching around the world.

But the real drama started after the match. India refused to accept the trophy and medals from ACC President and PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi. The presentation ceremony turned into a shocking moment for cricket.
Mohsin Naqvi was standing on the stage with the trophy and medals, waiting for Indian players to arrive. But none of them came forward. The players completely ignored him and were busy with their phones and chatting among themselves. The entire team avoided the presentation area which created an unusual scene after such a big final.

After waiting for some time Mohsin Naqvi looked upset and finally walked away from the stage carrying the Asia Cup trophy and medals. This left fans stunned inside the ground and also on live broadcast.
So Team India celebrated their Asia Cup victory without the official trophy. Players enjoyed with an imagination trophy in the middle of the ground and also cheered with personal awards handed by the team management. The celebrations looked different but full of emotions for the players.

Experts cricket fans and former players criticised this act strongly. Many called it disrespectful behaviour which overshadowed India’s great win.
