India vs Australia 2nd T20 – Australia Won by 4 Wickets Take 1-0 Lead in 5-Match Series

By Abhishek Kumar

In the five-match T20 series between India and Australia Australia won the second T20 by 4 wickets with 40 balls left and took a 1-0 lead in the series. The first match was abandoned due to rain and in the second match Australia showed a fantastic all-round performance to beat India comfortably.

Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first inviting India to bat. India’s batting was not good from the start. They kept losing wickets again and again and no big partnership was built. Only Abhishek Sharma looked comfortable at the crease. He played really brilliant cricket scoring 68 runs in just 37 balls with some powerful shots all around the ground With him Harshit Rana tried to support with the bat and played a fighting knock of 35 runs, but no other batsman was able to give any support. As a result the Indian team was all out for just 125 runs in 18.4 overs which was clearly below par on a good pitch.

For Australia Josh Hazlewood delivered the best bowling performance of the match He took 3 wickets for just 13 runs in 4 overs and completely broke India’s momentum. Along with him Xavier Bartlett and Nathan Ellis bowled beautifully taking 2 wickets each and kept tight control throughout the innings

In the chase Australia started confidently and never looked in trouble. Even after losing a few wickets they played smart cricket and reached the target easily with 40 balls remaining. With this win Australia have taken a 1-0 lead in the 5-match T20 series while India will now look to bounce back strongly in the next match to level the series
