Initially, a brief infrastructure-related delay pushed back the scheduled timeline. However, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has now officially activated its Post-Result Activities portal. Specifically, students can use this platform for Class 12 mark verification. Furthermore, the system allows for detailed, question-wise re-evaluation. Students can now access the live tracking dashboard directly via the official link at postresult.cbseit.in/pvr/. In an unprecedented move to fortify student data privacy and eliminate proxy form submissions, the CBSE has introduced a mandatory Aadhaar verification layer for all applicants logging in this year.

The digital system was originally scheduled to go live on May 29 but was pushed back to ensure absolute technical stability. Eligible students can access the application framework online through the designated links on the official CBSE Portal.

Aadhaar Authentication Made Mandatory

To address mounting concerns surrounding data leaks and automated portal scraping, the CBSE has implemented a security layer via Aadhaar integration.

  • Identity Matching: Students logging in must provide valid Aadhaar details. The system dynamically checks the legal name, gender, and date of birth against the central database.
  • Alternative Verification: To accommodate students who may not possess a personal Aadhaar card, the CBSE permits the use of identification records belonging to a direct parent, guardian, or immediate relative, provided the input metrics match the registered card data.

Understanding the Dual Redressal Framework

According to official user guidelines published by the board, the portal splits post-result modifications into two distinct digital services:

  1. Verification of Scanned Issues: This module allows students to report purely structural discrepancies found in their digital answer sheets. Litigants can flag missing supplementary pages, completely blurred or unreadable scan sheets, missing graphs, or clear calculation entry mismatches. This carries a fee of ₹100 per script.
  2. Re-evaluation of Specific Answers: Available strictly to students who have already reviewed their digital answer scripts, this path allows candidates to challenge the precise assessment of individual answers. Students must supply the exact question number and matching page reference, backed by a fee of ₹25 per question.

How to Apply: Step-by-Step Portal Access

Students wishing to submit their academic scripts for verification must complete the process entirely online before the final deadline:

  • Step 1: Navigate to the official review gateway at pvr.cbseit.in/pvr/.
  • Step 2: Select the active application tab for Class 12 Verification/Re-evaluation.
  • Step 3: Authenticate using your Board Roll Number, School Number, and Admit Card ID.
  • Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar Identity Verification step via the system prompt.
  • Step 5: Select the subjects or question segments requiring intervention.
  • Step 6: Complete the non-refundable payment via the integrated UPI, Net Banking, or Credit/Debit Card gateway.

Conclusion

The activation of the CBSE 2026 re-evaluation portal provides a vital and secure channel for students seeking a fair review of their performance. By embedding mandatory Aadhaar authentication, the board has successfully addressed security concerns, ensuring a more resilient platform less vulnerable to data manipulation. However, the application window closes strictly on June 6, 2026. Therefore, candidates must double-check all inputs before final submission. Specifically, the portal locks permanently once payment is completed. Consequently, errors cannot be fixed after this step.
