India vs Australia 1st T20I India’s Fire Start Destroyed by Rain in Canberra

The much-awaited India vs Australia T20 series started with full excitement but the weather turned the show into disappointment The first T20I in Canberra was completely washed out by rain just when Team India was showing their attacking fire

After losing the toss India came to bat first and what a start they gave Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill played fearless cricket. India reached 97 runs for 1 wicket in just 9.4 overs before the rain came and spoiled all the fun. Gill looked solid with 37 not out from 20 balls while Surya was in full mood smashing 39 from 24 balls with classy strokes.

Suryakumar Yadav also made history in this short game he became the fastest batsman in the world to hit 150 sixes in T20 Internationals! This record once again proves why Surya is called Mr. 360 of India. But just when India looked ready for a big total the rain didn’t stop. The umpires finally called the match abandoned with no result. Fans were left heartbroken because they were expecting a power-packed battle between two world-class teams. Before the game India also faced a blow as Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out from the first three matches due to injury. Still under Surya’s captaincy, the team looked confident and full of energy.

Now the focus moves to Melbourne where the 2nd T20I will be played on October 31. Team India will look to continue the same momentum and take the lead in the series
