India’s Best-Ever Para Athletics Performance at Home

India created history in the Para Athletics Championships 2025 at Delhi. In this championship India won 22 medals 6 gold 9 silver 7 bronze which is the best record for India ever. Overall India finished at 10th position.
For India Shailesh Kumar won gold in men’s high jump T63. Rinku won men’s javelin throw F46 and set a championship record of 66.37 m. Haryana girl Ekta Bhyan won silver in F51, marking her third consecutive medal. Even in sprint, jump and throws Indian athletes performed very well. India was strong from the start winning medals in almost every event. Home crowd support was amazing. PM Narendra Modi congratulated the team and said it is a historic performance. Former Paralympian Deepa Malik said it is an inspiration for young athletes.
This performance is truly a milestone for our country and will motivate young athletes.
