Afghanistan vs Bangladesh 2nd T20

At Sharjah Cricket Stadium Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 2 wickets and take 2–0 lead in the 3-match T20 series.

Batting first Afghanistan scored 147 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Their top order gave a good start as Ibrahim Zadran scored 38 runs Rahmanullah Gurbaz made 30 runs while Mohammad Nabi played a quick cameo of 20 not out. For Bangladesh bowling attack Nasum Ahmed and Rishad Hossain took 2 wickets each while Shoriful Islam bowled a brilliant spell with 1 wicket for just 13 runs in his 4 overs.

Chasing 148 runs Bangladesh lost both openers cheaply and were struggling at the start. But Jaker Ali played a fighting knock of 32 runs and Shamim Hossain scored 33 runs to keep the scoreboard moving. Captain Nurul Hasan stayed till the end and made an unbeaten 31 runs under pressure. The match went into the last over but Shoriful Islam showed his batting ability too, scoring 11 runs in just 6 balls and sealed the win for Bangladesh with 5 balls to spare.

Shoriful Islam was awarded Player of the Match for his all-round performance. With this win Bangladesh have taken an unbeatable 2–0 lead in the series.
