India continued their unbeaten run in the Asia Cup 2025 as they defeated Bangladesh by 41 runs in the Super Fours clash on Tuesday and booked their place in the grand finale.

Batting first India scored 168 for 6 in 20 overs. The hero of the innings was young opener Abhishek Sharma who played a breathtaking knock of 75 runs from just 37 balls. He smashed six fours and five sixes and stitched a solid 77-run partnership with Shubman Gill (29) for the first wicket. After a strong start India’s middle order faltered slipping from 77/0 to 129/5 but Hardik Pandya’s quick 38 towards the end ensured India finished with a competitive total.
In reply Bangladesh failed to build partnerships and were bowled out for 127 in 19.3 overs. The only bright spot for them was Saif Hassan who fought hard with a gritty 69 off 51 balls including five sixes. However with wickets tumbling at the other end his effort went in vain.
India’s bowlers especially the spinners dominated the game. Kuldeep Yadav was outstanding returning with 3/18 while Varun Chakravarthy (2/29) and Axar Patel (1/37) provided good support. The disciplined bowling and sharp field placements kept Bangladesh under constant pressure.
With this win, India sealed their spot in the Asia Cup 2025 final, while Bangladesh will now face Pakistan in a virtual semifinal for the second spot. Sri Lanka are already out of contention after back-to-back defeats.
For India the form of Abhishek Sharma at the top and Kuldeep Yadav in the middle overs will give them great confidence ahead of the final. The team looks balanced and enters the title clash as strong contenders.
