BCCI in Search of New Jersey Sponsor After Dream11 Exit
By Abhishek Kumar

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now looking for a new front of jersey sponsor after Dream11 officially ended its deal. This is one of the costliest sponsorship slots in Indian cricket valued at nearly ₹452 crore. Dream11’s exit comes after the government introduced the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025 which bans real-money online gaming and its advertisements. Due to this law the fantasy sports company could no longer continue as India’s jersey sponsor.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the development and said the board will fully respect the law and will not work with companies that are restricted. The sudden end of the deal however has left the BCCI in a tough spot. The board has already started the bidding process for a new sponsor. According to reports major Indian corporates automobile companies and fintech startups are showing interest. But the big challenge is time. With the Asia Cup 2025 starting in early September the Indian team might even step on the field without a lead sponsor on the jersey if a deal is not finalised quickly.
BCCI is confident of closing the deal soon as this sponsorship is seen as a high-value opportunity for brands to be associated with Indian cricket.
