Rohit Sharma Become World No 2 in ODI Rankings

ICC release their latest ODI rankings and current ODI captain Rohit Sharma Become 2nd in ODI batsmen ranking. They over take Pakistan star player Babar Azam even Rohit Sharma didn’t played any ODI match after Champions Trophy 2025. But their performance in past help him to maintain and improve their rankings.

Shubman Gill still on No 1 with 784 rating points. Rohit Sharma have 756 points and Babar Azam slip on No 3 with 751 points. Virat Kohli on 4th place with 736 points.
This is also big moment for Indian cricket because now India have 3 players in top 4 ODI batsmen ranking — Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Also Shreyas Iyer is on No 8 and KL Rahul on No 15 in world rankings. This show India’s batting strength in ODI format.

Babar Azam lose his position after poor performance in recent West Indies tour where he scored only 56 runs in 3 matches. On the other side, Rohit Sharma rise without playing because his past performance in big matches and tournaments still giving him ranking points.

Rohit Sharma’s rise comes at a time when many discussion going on about his ODI future. But this ranking is proof that he is still one of the most important and consistent batsman in ODI cricket.

India have some important ODI matches coming and now fans will watch if Rohit Sharma can continue his form and try to reach No 1 position along with Shubman Gill on top.
