India vs England 5th Test at The Oval – Day 2 Highlights

The Indian team was all out for 224 runs on the 2nd day.
At the end of Day 1, India’s score was 204 with the loss of 6 wickets.
But on Day 2, the team added only 20 runs and got all out for 224 runs in 69.4 overs.
For India, Karun Nair scored 57 runs in 109 balls with 8 boundaries — the highest individual score by any Indian in the 1st innings.
Sai Sudharsan also scored 38 runs.
Other batsmen failed to score; they couldn’t even reach 30 runs.
For England, 27-year-old right-arm fast bowler and batsman Gus Atkinson took 5 wickets in 21.4 overs, giving away only 33 runs with an economy of 1.52 and 8 maiden overs.
This was a very impressive bowling performance by Gus Atkinson. In the absence of Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, he took responsibility for the team.
Josh Tongue also took 3 impactful wickets in the match.
England batters started strong with a 92-run opening partnership between Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett. They both played aggressively.
Zak Crawley scored a quick 64 runs with a strike rate of 112.28, hitting 14 boundaries.
Ben Duckett also supported with a quick 43 runs, including 5 boundaries and 2 maximums.
Harry Brook also smashed a half-century and helped England take a small lead of 23 runs.
In the end, England was all out for 247 runs in 51.2 overs.
For India, the bowlers took responsibility this time.
Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna both took 4 wickets each.
Akash Deep also took 1 wicket — an important one at a crucial time. He broke the strong opening partnership and gave a breakthrough for India.
At the end of the day, India came in for the 2nd innings
and played 18 overs.
The score is 75/2.
India is taking a lead of 52 runs.
