The New Superman Movie has become the talk of the town, and for all the reasons one might expect

James Gunn’s new Superman movie has become the next hot topic of the pop culture for many of the reasons you’d expect … and then some that are surprising.
Why The Buzz Is Real
A fresh, optimistic take on the Man of Steel
Under Gunn’s writing Superman film emphasizes kindness, hope, and moral clarity in a troubled world, that is quite a contrast from the recent DCEU movies and the portrayal of Superman which was a brooding, divisive figure of the DCEU. The movies is more colorful and cheerful which completely encapsulates the themes of the movie which mainly talks about hope, morals and kindness.
The portrayal of Superman as a character is also aspired to reclaim “the ultimate good guy,” image which is also a very different approach approach by James Gunn.
A Built Out, Interconnected DCU
Rather than launching Superman as a lone figure, Gunn thrusts him into a world already populated by powerful superheroes the Justice Society, Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner etc. which creates a very rich assemble of very dynamics and sets the foundation for the new DC Universe.
Even with the set list of other super heroes after Superman in the movie, its none other than Krypto that steals the spotlight, not with polish, but with its personality. The dog is scrappy, very disobedient, and real, a portrayal connecting with real dog-owners more than boring saccharine clichés. People are even googling schnauzers, the breed Krypto resembles, in droves . This grounded take on a super-dog adds unexpected heart amid superhero spectacle. There has also been reported rise in the interest among people for dog adoptions.

Critics And Audience Reaction
Within the first five days the movie has managed to surpass the $250 million mark at the global box, with 83% critics score and 93% audience rating at rotten tomatoes.
Some critics have taken issue with the overcrowded storytelling, and cited underdevelopment of Superman himself, a lackluster Lex Luthor, and overreliance on supporting heroes like Mister Terrific and Green Lantern.
What Does All Of This Means for the DCU
The Superman movie has a lot riding on it, with it being the foundational movie of the new dcu under James Gunn, it needed to be a box-office success. Looking at the current numbers it looks well enough to say that James Gunn has not failed to deliver his promise but the movie is also not as grand of a success that the Warner bros might have hopped for.
The movie still has a long way to go but it has definitely been a monumental feat for the movie makes involved as the negativity around it before even its original release, the overall talks have been very positive about the movie so the box-office numbers are all set to increase in coming days with the positive word of mouth expected to do its thing.
