What made IAS Raman so clean despite being posted at the most corrupt department?

Noida’s famous Officer or we can say lifeline of NDMC Rama Raman who was serving Noida Developmental Authority , Greater Noida Developmental Authority and Yamuna Expressway developmental Authority as a chief executive officer (CEO) needs to step down from his current position after Allahabad Court ordered him. Mr.Rama Raman or famously known as ‘The Blue Eyed Boy’ is working for  Noida Developmental Authority and  Greater Noida Developmental Authority as a CEO for past six years. He was also given the extra responsibility as the Yamuna Expressway Developmental Authority’s chairman and was relieved from all of his duty’s immediately on Monday after Allahabad High Court interfered in the matter.

Last week, the court had taken a grim view of Raman’s continuance in the coveted posts for the last six years and had questioned whether the state government could not find anyone better to replace him. Despite being the most corrupt and tempting authority Raman has managed to stay ‘clean’. As a matter of fact, all the bureaucrats are facing corruption charges against them. Earlier this year, Noida Developmental Authority Chief Engineer Yadav Singh also faced corruption charges of 1000 crores by CBI.

Mr. Rama Raman was appointed by the Mayawati Government in 2010 and remained in the position for six years straight even after the government changed in 2012. Raman was the apple of every government’s eye. He served as the oxygen to SP and BSP government. Now, Principal Secretary (Power) and Chairman of the UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Sanjay Agarwal has been given the charge of the three authorities. We wish him good luck!
