Steve Smith Joins Virat Kohli In The ‘Freak’ Category tweets Michael Vaughan
It was yet another century for Australia captain Steve Smith, on the third day of the third Ashes Test at Perth. Smith notched up 22nd ton of his career and bailed Australia out of a tricky situation, when they had lost both their openers—David Warner and Cameron Bancroft, cheaply.
Visibly impressed by his feat, former England captain Michael Vaughan put Smith in a league of ‘freaks’, that includes Virat Kohli as well. He tweeted, “Just having a glass of vino I have decided Steve Smith has joined @imVkohli in the Freak Category … an incredible player … #Justsaying #Ashes.”

In reply to England’s 403, After ending the day at 203 for three, the Australian skipper completed his 22nd Test hundred in the first session on Day 3. The hosts, after losing their openers David Warner (22) and Cameron Bancroft (25) early in the innings, were steadied by captain Smith as he stood tall and frustrated the English bowlers.
Not only that, Vaughan also feels that Kohli is the best player across three formats, but Smith is the best in Tests. Vaughan tweeted,”IMO … @imVkohli is the best player across the 3 formats … But @stevesmith49 is the best in Tests … #OnOn #Ashes … Although I would really like both in the same team ….”

So far, in the 58 Test matches, Smith has scored 5557 runs with an average of 60.40 while Kohli in 63 matches has 5268 runs with an average of 53.75.
What do you think, will Steve Smith surpass Kohli in Test Runs or Kohli will maintain his run-scoring pace and remain at the top-list.
