Jaydev Unadkat Becomes Most Expensive Indian Player, sold to Rajasthan Royals

IPL Auction 2018 Live Updates: What a session we had! Jaydev Unadkat becomes the most expensive Indian player after Rajasthan Royals get him for Rs 11.50 crore. He has over taken Manish Pandey and KL Rahul who were bought for Rs 11 crore on Saturday.

Uncapped Indian spinners also got big money when RR bought Gowtham for Rs 6.20 crore. Other big buys on Sunday were Sandeep Sharma to SRH for Rs 3 crore, Evin Lewis at 3.80 crore rupees. Many of the international were unsold on Sunday. All the unsold players can be brought back in the auction if the franchise ask for them. Ben Stokes remained the top buy with Rajasthan Royals buying him for Rs 12.50 crore and keeping him with his Pune teammates Steve Smith, Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul Tripathi.

Chennai Super Kings core team is similar to what it was before the ban. But they still lack bowlers and have struggled on Sunday to get any of the bowlers. R Ashwin has moved to Kings XI Punjab. There was some big money for India’s U19 cricketers as Kamlesh Nagarkoti was bought for Rs 3.20 crore by Kolkata Knight Riders. There were some big names that went unsold like Chris Gayle, Lasith Malinga, Ishant Sharma, Martin Guptill and others. These are expected to be recalled into the auction on day two. 12:22 pm IST: Zahir Khan Pakteen will play for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2018 as they buy him for Rs 60 lakh. Fourth Afghanistan player to be part of IPL. What a day for Afghan cricket!

12:20 pm IST: Mihir Hirwani, Mayank Markande remain unsold! Another Afghanistan spinner is set to play IPL as Zahir Khan Pakteen gets bid. Rajasthan and Mumbai bidding from him.

12:17 pm IST: Niroshan Dickwella, Nicholas Pooran, Kedar Devdhar all remain unsold. CM Gautam gets no bidders as well. Jagadeesan Narayan is the next name and he has been sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 20 lakh

12:15 pm IST: Back again and this is the aceelerated process! The teams will ask for specific players to be up for bidding. The first player in that list is Johnson Charles from West Indies. But he remains unsold

12:00 noon IST: Nathu Singh reamins unsold after Rajasthan Royals buy Anureet Singh for Rs 30 lakh. And that will be the end of this session. A 20 minute break for everyone!

11:55 am IST: An intense bidding war for Pradeep Sangwan with Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians going for the pacer. But Mumbai keep their fight going and get the pacer for Rs 1.5 crore

11:50 am IST: 17-year-old Abhishek Sharma goes to Delhi Daredevils for Rs 55 lakh. Swapnil Singh, Pravin Dubey, Bipul Sharma remain unsold. Ishwar Pandey and Syan Ghosh too remain unsold.

With a base price of Rs 1 crore, he was at the centre of considerable interest before the Royals beat off competition from several other teams.
