Rajat Dalal, a fitness influencer from Haryana, has recently found himself at the center of a storm after a video surfaced online showing him hitting a biker while speeding at over 140 kmph on a busy road in Faridabad. The video, which quickly went viral, captured Dalal’s shocking nonchalance as he remarked, “Gir gaya, koi baat nahi. Roz ka yahi kaam hai ma’am [He fell down, no big deal. This is an everyday thing, ma’am].” This callous attitude sparked widespread outrage, prompting the Faridabad police to take immediate action. They registered a case against Dalal under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code for reckless driving and endangering public safety.

Dalal, who had taken the car for a test drive from a local Volkswagen showroom, was reportedly driving on Mathura Road when the incident occurred on February 25. Despite the uproar, Dalal remained defiant, claiming the video was old and expressing confusion over how it went viral. He even suggested that he might be the victim of a conspiracy aimed at damaging his reputation. However, the Faridabad police were not swayed by his claims. They took to social media to announce that Dalal had surrendered at the Sarai Khawaja Police Station and that his driving license would be canceled.

The incident has drawn the attention of legal professionals as well. A Delhi-based lawyer, Aditya Chauhan, lodged a formal complaint against Dalal, urging authorities to take swift action against such dangerous behavior. Chauhan’s call for justice has resonated with many, further intensifying the pressure on Dalal.

As the investigation continues, the Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad has assured the public that strict action will be taken against Dalal if found guilty. Meanwhile, Dalal’s attempts to distance himself from the controversy have done little to quell the public’s anger. In a video statement, Dalal insisted that he has left his past behind and is now focused on a positive path, but the damage to his reputation may already be done.
