‘Ratsasan’ Hindi remake gets its inspector Arun in Akshay Kumar?

‘Ratsasan,’ hailed as the best psychological thriller in Tamil cinema, garnered rave accolades from critics and audiences alike. The Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul starrer, which was made on a shoestring budget, went on to make nearly Rs 20 crore at the global box office.

As per recent reports, the movie will be directed by Ranjit M Tewari, the filmmaker who helmed Kumar’s upcoming release Bell Bottom. Kumar might start shooting for the crime thriller as early as August, with the makers eyeing a release next year.

According to the newest reports, Havish has sold the remake rights of the film to Akshay Kumar of Padman fame, who is now poised to play the major role. In addition to performing, Akshay Kumar will finance the remake.
