Bharat Bandh protest was held today morning 6 AM and continued till 4 PM in evening during which all the government and private offices, educational and other institutions, shops etc.. were closed throughout the country.
However, all emergency establishments and hospitals, medical shops were open for services to people.
Though the demands of farmers are still not followed by the government so farmers decided to call for Bharat Bandh and many politicians and political parties came into their support.
Among the people who supported the protest, one is elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of opposition of Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav extended his support to Samyukta Kisan Morcha’s (SKM) call for Bharat Bandh on 27 September.
He announced through his tweet by saying “In the meeting of the top leaders of Mahagattbandhan held at the residence today, it was unanimously decided to participate in Bharat Bandh called by United Kisan Morcha on September 27, in protest against anti farmer policies of NDA government .We are firm with farmers.”
Morover Andhra Pradesh government , DMK ,LDF of Kerala, Congress, AAP came in support of farmers as they also decided to join their call for Bharat Bandh .
The national convention of SKM was held on 26-27 August and over 2000 delegates from hundred of organization participated in this convention.
You will not believe but it has been six months of protest by farmers as they begin their protest since 26 November 2020 against three enacted farmer laws :Farmer’s produce and Trade Commerce act, Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020 and Essential Commodities Act ,2020.
Though farm leaders and central government had several round of talks but they didn’t reach to any conclusion
